La Rogaia is still waiting to welcome guests again. Over Easter we will inevitably have our green hill in Umbria to ourselves, but we hope to have new guests from May onwards!

The spring-like weather inspired us to have a picnic, in anticipation of the enjoyable life in the great outdoors in the warm months.

The first tango morning - where on earth has this guy gone?

We can hardly believe it ourselves, but in 2021 we will actually be holding tango courses in La Rogaia in the 23rd year.

So many difficulties and not even the COVID19 pandemic have stopped us from going on! We look back on many wonderful courses with great teachers and participants.

From mid-June we can welcome guests. To celebrate the end of the "Decameron", Amira has prepared a panna cotta with syrup made from roses and lilac flowers from our garden.

Sleeping Beauty Rogaia

When we came to La Rogaia more than twenty years ago, part of the garden was overgrown with blackberry bushes. And indeed, in the Umbrian dialect "le roghe" means: thorny brush ...

We then set about planting a garden and the name "ROGAIA" stood for us as an abbreviation for "ROse GArden In Advance"

The roses have grown and they bloom more beautifully every year - this year too. And our two daughters these days sometimes feel like living in a remote enchanted castle.
