The summer season is starting at La Rogaia

Holidays in the middle of nature

Our garden is still in full bloom - now with gorse, day lilies, jasmine, lavender and oleander. There are tranquil spots everywhere to enjoy the quietness and the beguiling scent of the flowers.

If you want to explore the surroundings of La Rogaia, there are many paths around our house: up to the village for a cappuccino or an aperitivo, to an enchanted castle ruin in the middle of the forest or down into the valley through a shaded ravine.

In the past two weeks Amira has set out to rediscover the familiar hiking trails and has brought many photos with her:

A summer hike to Monte Acuto

The starting point for climbing Monte Acuto can be reached in 20 minutes - an easy mountain hike of approx. 1 hour to the summit. Here you can discover the remains of a matriarchal sanctuary from the 5th century BC.

Horses graze there in summer and the view is simply breathtaking!

A trip to Lake Trasimeno

There are also hiking and biking trails along the shore of Lake Trasimeno. You can leisuryly stroll through reed areas with many species of birds or along fields with sunflowers. The bathing areas and boat rentals at the lake are also open again.
