Come for an exciting week of painting en-pleine-aire in Italy! Students will be reviewing and learning the importance of paint quality, composition and color while working with water colours. The surroundings of La Rogaia are full of inspiring mtifs to be painted. No previous experience is required to participate - just a little patience ...
Wolfgang Sandt is a stonemason, sculptor and painter with 20 years of teaching experience. He has participated at numerous international symposia and exhibitions. He creates abstract sculptures of translucent marble as well as representational art work. His water colour paintings are light and delicate.

- EUR 480 per person per week with lodging in double room (shared bathroom for 3 - 4 persons)
- EUR 600 per person per week with lodging in single room (shared bathroom for 3 - 4 persons).
- EUR 580 per person per week with lodging in private apartment "La Grapo", “La Pipo” or “I Cuccioli” with bathroom, kitchenette and private terrace (double occupancy).
Price includes:
- Teaching for the entire week of the course, i.e. 6 hours of instruction on 6 days. ( Small groups of 6 or less persons will receive intensive individual teaching on 3 hours per day on 6 days)
- Lodging
- Umbria-Tourist-Card for reduced entrance tickets to museums and for discount in many shops in Umbria
Price does not include:
Food. There is the possibility for selfcatering either in a spacious common kitchen or in the apartments. There are restaurants and shops at the village of Castel Rigone at 4 km distance from La Rogaia.
Materials for water colour painting. These can be purchased on site at about EUR 60 for a basic set of water colours, brushes and paper.

The classes take place at Villa La Rogaia, an outstanding old Umbrian country house with many gardens. It is situated near Lake Trasimeno between Rome and Florence. Participants stay in individually crafted double or single rooms (shared bathroom for two bedrooms) or in holiday apartments (for two persons), partly at the village of Castel Rigone at 4 km distance from La Rogaia.
